inside signal does not exists, you might get txt messages up to 2 hours late, outside barely handles calls, Sprint swears is a good coverage area. you will drop calls even outside, they will not do anything. as you get close to RT 1 or the GW parkway it improves but is vey inconvenient in this dead spot

Everything seems awesome with Sprint. My wife has an Evo4G and she gets 4G here. We are on the 2nd level of a medium-sized 4 level apartment building (Edlandria).

I dropped AT&T because reception in my former North Old Town home was horrible and then it was even worse when I moved to the Warwick Village neighborhoord in Del Ray. I switch to Sprint, and though it is occassionally ok (and just ok), it is usually one or no bars. I constantly get people saying they called but couldn't get through to me. At least both AT&T and Sprint really need to do something about reception these areas of Alexandria, from what I hear others too. It's ridiculous for them to be neglecting these kinds of populated, cell phone addicted neighborhoods.

Overall I am VERY pleased with Sprint's service. I switched from tMobile because for most of my commute on the GW Pkwy. I had NO service. I managed to talk my way out of my contract with no fee due to the coverage issues. My house was a huge dead area, too (west of Rt. 1 between Old Mill Rd, and Frye Rd). So I switched to Sprint. Sprint does much better on te Pkwy, with the exception of a spot off of Fort Hunt Rd., in the area of Sherwood Hall Road. My house has iffy service for every carrier, but as soon as I leave my neighborhood Sprint has a full signal. If you have bad service, don't take no for an answer. I kept calling and I kept prtesting that it's not safe for my family or I to have had cell reception for 75% of my drive home. Overall Sprint is the way to go.

Switched from Nextel to the new Hybrid Nextel / Sprint phone. I cant decide which one is worse. Either no service in town or no service at home.

Good reception with Sprint. Bounces between two and three bars but I haven't noticed a major difference in call quality.

Reception in our high-rise building, "The Aspen", and in the surrounding grounds is terrible. Told this is true of other services, besides Sprint. Sometimes the signal simply fades out within seconds. It's odd, because I am up very high & have a clear view of National Airport, Capital Bld, Washington Monument, etc. (even have a balcony). People are now used to me calling them back 2-3 times during a phone conversation. The Sprint employees are very good though, and that company has been very proactive in suggesting better deals and discounts. But, if I knew of a provider with decent reception here...

My sprint phone works all over the place. I live in a high rise and it works perfectly in there. The only complaint I have it that it goes into analog roam in the metro, but then again I am lucky its a dual band and even has analog anymore! If you need to use your phone on the metro on a regular basis skip sprint, otherwise its a great deal/service ;)
