My reception has been very good. I use my phone for sales so I drive not only all over the Greater Washington region - but also between NYC and NC frequently. There is one dead spot in Washington where 267 is merging into 66 (near West Falls Church metro) - and I believe this is true for all carriers - not just Verizon. I also get little to no reception inside of my home. Once I step outside - no problem. My former residence at Washington Blvd and Route 50 got great reception inside a basement unit.

I hear other people rave about their reception in D.C. with Verizon, but my reception since I arrived here last month has been terrible. In Arlington, VA, right across the river from D.C., my phone has one bar most of the time, often zero (i.e. no signal), and is substantially unusable from many places where you would expect service to be available - on major throughfares, etc. Not sure if it's just this phone model or what, but it's so bad I'm thinking of terminating my contract early, paying the money, and switching carriers.

Great reception almost everywhere. Only issue is with voice mail access. When out of local area, the system will not allow me to access it. Very frustrating.

I get 4 "deceiving" bars of service most of the time, yet I have to dial 20 times or more to place a call and I usually give up. Each time it says "Connecting" then "Redialing" then "No Service Available" then "Entering Sprint Service Area" all in a few seconds. Very frustrating. Sometimes it works just fine, and then half way through a call it will stop working - either fading completely or the other person cannot hear me speak or hears digital noise.

It's perfect almost everywhere I go. I commute from Cleveland all the time and I get perfect reception almost the entire trip. The only time that I don't get any reception is when I'm on campus here at Marymount.

Has good reception when ur outside on the ground.
Doesn't work at all inside the crystal city shops (underground).
Don't even think abt using it in metro if ur travelling underground. If you've roaming enabled then it "might" work in analog mode. I spent at least 2-3 hrs in the metro or waiting for the train (underground station).. and sprint is really useless for that part of the day. Have really wondered abt the service provider where some people can use their mobile even through the biggest stretches of the metro underground.
If ur a metro commuter.. throw sprint away.

This particular spot has patchy coverage. Outside the 0.5 mile radius, it's great (full signal), but at this particular location in Fairlington Village lot #44, it's hard to get decent signal from inside the house. Now that the leaves are gone, it is better but before it was worse. T-Mobile is also working on fine-tuning this neighborhood according to their CS (not sure how accurate this is).

It's been working great up until last week. AT&T claims they have a trouble ticket open but something is seriously wrong with their system. To make any call, I have to literally dial the number at least 20 times.
