No bars, calls fail or dropped all the time. My wife called me one day and when my phone beeped to let me know she had called. I called her back, and she told me she had made that call to me an hour before I called her back. I looked at the AT&T web site, put in our address and it came up that we have no signal for our area. Guess I will be looking for another carrier <><
Usually have good reception in smithfield, there are a few places where it's hard to send a picture message or something, but usually full bars everywhere.
Phone worked fine in previous home in another state, but reception here in VA has never been good. Constant dropped calls, inside and out. Rarely more than one bar, and then when I actually make a call, it drops to 0. This is quite frustrating.
There is an Alltel Tower in the Town of Smithfield. There is another somewhere in Suffolk. When driving down RT 17, once you cross the bridge from Suffolk into Carrollton the call drops EVERY SINGLE TIME, even with external vehicle mounted antenna. For some reason the call cannot hand off from the Suffolk tower to the Smithfield tower. I have called Alltel numerous times comlaining but they are just too big an organization to care. Oh, but they will "credit" me with one minute on my unlimited plan. hah, what a joke.
