Off of 58 in Castlewood I can usually get a couple bars at the high school and maybe 1-2 at the Pizza Hut. There are some places away from the highway where the signal gets cut out by the mountains. On analog mode I do get 1-2 extra bars though. But I did just see in the Coalfield that Alltel is placing a tower in St. Paul that will serve St. Paul and Castlewood with a strong signal so I'm looking forward to better service very soon. As far as I know according to the paper, they are the only provider that plans on building a tower and providing coverage here.
we desperately need a tower around here,i mean we buy phones and cant use them unless we go far away,its a waste of our money if there isn't a tower around!
The reception in the town of St.paul and Castlewood is awful. There is alot of people that have cell phones but can't use them unless you travel outside of town to a spot where you can get service but very little at that. We are in need of a cellular tower along Rt.58 in between these two towns.
