Only 36 miles from the US Capitol, the center of the free world, and 0 to 1 bars??!? Looks like three towers in Culpeper, one in Fairfax, and nothing else around! Come on Verizon, stop sending me ads for 4G when I can't even get 1G consistently!

No change from my review last year. Signal bounces from non-existent (less than -110dBm to very marginal (-97 dBm). You may be able to start a voice call but don't get to choose when it ends (drops). Data is likewise-- swings from EvDO speeds (200-300kbos) to 1X speeds (20-70 kbps) to nothing and lost connections. Unusable for anything but texts and e-mails which depend on resends.

Signal fluctuates from -95 to no service when the leaves are on the trees. Only slightly better during winter. Using tethering, data throughput ranges from 20kbps to 200kbps with average around 70kbps. Nearest tower is 5 miles away in Catlett along Rte. 28. Not much hope of any service improvement here unless the cows start signing up for service.
