Nextel has been average at best for the last two years in the DC area. It seems that after Sprint bought them out it went down the toilet. My reception is poor in the Northern VA area. I will reply back with the T-Mobile rating. I will probably get them in the next couple of days. Lucky me my contract ends in a month with Nextel.

When driving between Chantilly and Reston, it is almost impossible to have a conversation - no bars, dropped calls, poor reception. I wish I had T-Mobile back but am stuck for 2 years!

On the roads the reception is perfect. In any malls or stores the reception is perfect too. But if you go a mile down the road and (god forbid) into somebody's basement you'll be holding your phone in the air looking for a signal.
