T-Mobile has always had great coverage for me in the past. Not so now, though. My neighborhood (Kings Park West) has no coverage (or one bar coverage sporatically). Once T-Mobile has you, they won't let you go! I've tried numerous times to get out of the contract... but they don't seem to listen!

When my phone is just sitting in my room, it says it has 2 bars, but as soon as you press send, all of the sudden, there is only 1 and then 0, but the clock is going on the call. You just hear silence, but Verizon is charging. They are the WORST company I have ever dealt with. I've been trying for a month to resolve this problem, but they are just making me jump through hoops, while ignoring the problem. DON'T GET VERIZON!

I usually have no reception in my bedroom (which is in the basement, but even near the huge window I get no service. I have to charge my batter (which is only a month old... ) every night because my phone is constantly searching for service and wearing down the battery. It's really frustrating. I actually had to drive a few miles down 495 to have a conversation with my mother. I live in a group house and all of us have cell phones, so we don't subscribe to a land-line phone service because we'd almost never use it. Logical right? Not in this location. We had an emergency a couple months ago and when my roommate (who has spring, not verizon) tried to call 911, she got a recording saying that all circuits were busy. I tried to call but the call was dropped after a few seconds. Luckily the police arrived anyway. I am moving to a new apartment, and the cell phone thing is a huge part of my reasoning for the move. I've seen so many complaints about this area for all carriers. My roommates have trouble too, but not as much as I do. Get on it, mobile providers!

Some dropped calls at home. Reception usually fair anyplace in house and good outside. Depending on weather conditions, can usually make and receive calls anytime. My gripe is with Verizon's business practices but I still think they have the best cell service nationwide. I am rarely unable to use the phone when I travel.

I've used Sprint for 9 years - in the last 2 months I've gotten no service at all in my home and spotty service else where. In the spirit of their lack of customer service, they basically say too bad, so sad! They claim I should have no problem because I can get service in my yard. Well, I don't do business in my front yard - my office is in the house! I want to switch, but I'm not sure which one would work.

Dropped calls are quite rare. We use the phone for long distance, as well, and reception is clear and constant.

poor reception outside of buildings on campus. *NO* signal inside. I thought it was because of my trash v180, then I used razor, nothing better. I will stay away from Tmo.

Verizon has not worked well in this area for several years. It is somewhat usable, but when you walk into our house it does not work well at all. Sprint and Nextel have full signal here. Verizon needs to get this fixed.

The entire neighborhood has tried every carrier out there and we are just not serviced by a cell tower. If you stand in the street you can get a signal for a while.

Drops calls all the time, without fail. Will say I have 4-5 bars, then drop to no service, then 1 bar. Stays at 1 bar on average. Sometimes can get a call out with 2 bars, but will usually drop the call. Phone beeps for new voicemails and missed calls and the phone never rang. Drives me crazy. Would consider switching but it looks like everything is equally bad in Fairfax County. This phone works great anywhere else except Fairfax. There is a new cell tower at Robinson Secondary, half a mile away, and service continues to be extremely poor. What's going on? Why can't Verizon get on top of this?

Service previously worked until recently for Cingular Blue (TDMA). Now 9+ calls out of 10 get a fast busy signal and maybe one call out of 10 connects. Not just with my phone, but also with a relative's phone with the same service and a different phone model. Both phones get 3 out of 4 signal bars in the affected area.
