Some parts of the apartment building where I live, I get 3 bars of reception where in other parts and in the garage, I get 0-1 bars of reception. I had Verizon before, and it was much better! I switched for the phone. Will switch back ASAP.

Just moved to Northern Virginia from Midwest and my reception is horrible. I am receiving messages for other people on my voicemail and people are calling my phone asking for other people. I definitely can't use my phone in my office or the mall. My coverage was excellent in the Midwest, but here it is poor. Cingular suggested I switch to a local area code, but I think I may just change carriers.

I moved to DC from chicago, I have had the WORST reception ever since moving here. I could even get reception underground in bars in Chicago, ubt nowhere in DC seems to be any good - I plan on switching to verizon. Their deals aren't as good as their competitors, but who can beat service in the metro tunnels.

Even after Cingular merger, coverage is still inexplicably spotty (No Service or 1 Bar) along considerable stretches of Route 50 in Arlington through Fairfax. Even worse in our neighborhood in Falls Church, indoors or out. Countless dropped calls.
