have to stand outside on the driveway to get reception. now and again i'll get a call come in but it'll drop after a few minutes. it could be the phone's weak reception as well... i've noticed a slight increase in chances of receiving a call in the last 2 years (been with T-Mobile for 4)

Calls don't always ring in but when I dial out my phone finds the network. Reception is better upstairs than downstairs, probably due to hills nearby obscuring the signal. The newer phone definitely makes a difference in reception. No signal on much of Old Dominion, very spotty on River Bend, but pretty good on Gtown Pike.

Very bad reception inside of my house. Cingular has the worst reception of all major carrier.

For all those people that hate Sprint, Reconsider. They were bad, not anymore. They have the largest network, better reception and better technology. Dont buy into the millions of dollars other carriers spend on advertising to make you think they are better. Do your research. Sprint spends it on the network. I have a Sanyo phone. had it for 2 years. I have bettter reception in all areas of DC and N. VA than yes, Verizon. If you want the metro ROAM and get the no roaming plan. Costs peanuts. Those people that have bad reception in the G Falls area, try sprint. 2yr old phone. I offer Verizon customers if they want to use my phone, Funny when they get mad. Do your research, dont take some technology challanged persons opinions. And dont buy the cheap phone. You get what you pay for. Sprint rules.

Nextel's people will install a mini tower on the roof of your home. The service improves slightly and Nextel occasionally works in the back roads of Great Falls. Nextel has also been planning, if they haven't already, to place mini towers along Georgetown Pike as well as a disguised tower at the intersection of Great Falls Park and Old Dominion. Hopefully the service improves soon or else I'll be switching to Verizon.

Verizon's reception for much of River Bend Rd.is poor when stationary, and nonexistent when driving. It clears up quickly, though, as you approach Georgetown Pike and Walker Rd.from Aaron Chapel. I leave my cellphone near a window at home, and still occasionally find it hasn't rung at all when someone calls me. From what I hear, however, Verizon's service is the only real choice in this area. I haven't tried its wireless data service.

Service is spotty, at best. Go with Verizon if you require service in Great Falls. Cingular craps out after leaving Spring Hill (where Spring Hill and Old Dominion intersect) in any direction.
