If I am in a building, there is no reception at all, if you come outside, it still keeps searching for the reception for sometime(like 5 mins) before it gets it

Anywhere outside reception is perfect. Inside my apartment (3rd floor) I usually get 3 to 4 bars. I only get one bar in the In the basement (underground garage); however, the reception is still clear (static free). I have been to the west-coast with the phone and have been happy with the reception pretty much everywhere. There are some zones in which there is no reception, but that holds true for any cell provider. I have tried out all cell providers (14-day free trials) and selected CINGULAR (now AT&T) as having the most clear connection with the least dropped calls (none so far). It also provides the most convenient (for me) nationwide coverage. I have had CINGULAR service for 2.5 years now and I am happy with the value and service (friendly customer service).

Just moved to Herndon from Tyson's Corner which had perfect reception. Now i'm getting the cold shoulder from friends who think i'm not responding to their texts or returning their phone calls (which I never even knew I received) :( This area sucks in my eyes. I just happen to have my computer in the basement where I use to bring my cell phone, but not anymore. Now I have to leave it in the kitchen and run upstairs to answer it. Trust me, this is better than never knowing that you had a call in the first place. I want the new iphone coming out in june, but by the looks of AT&T's service in Herndon... i'll just have to wait till apple and Verizon make a deal... Not fair :(

Excellent coverage right at the county line on Rock Hill Rd.in Herndon.

2 bars inside house on 1st floor and basement; 3 bars on 2nd floor; 4 bars outside; rarely drop a call with this phone - anywhere. Want to purchase a new phone but so far I'm unable to identify a flip phone with superior reception that does 'not' have a camera (cameras are not allowed in govt. or govt-contractor facilities). No connectivity problems with my very old phone along Wiehle Ave. or near Herndon High School as reported by other people.

Total waste of a cell phone - stuck for two year contract with Verzon completely unsympathetic. No reception in home. Constant dropped calls in area.

Just recieved a new phone (motorola v60s) and I can't keep a call up in my home, even up on 3rd floor. The old phone (motorola v120c) was somewhat better, but no longer suppoorted on Vz's network due to e911 / gps requirement. looking at towermaps, there are ramarkably few towers in the area. Can Vz boost signal or re-aim antennas to increas signal strength in central herndon area?

Almost anywhere along Wiehle Ave from Baron Cameron Dr.to Fairfax County Pkwy. is extremely spotty. Within a distance of 50 yards will go from 3 bars to no signal. Most of Wiehle between Reston Pkwy. and Fairfax County Pkwy. is absolutely dead.

I have good reception around Herndon / Reston except for the area around Herndon High. I live around HHS and never have more then 1 bar and pften drop calls. Verizon has switched my phone 3 times and still willn't admit they they have a problem. The droped calls are to the point where the phone is useless.

Cingular's GSM signal is discraceful inside my office building as opposed to when I used to have perfect reception with ATT wireless. Cingular phone doesn't prefer the ATT tower which is even more of an annoyance.

I've had this phone 1.5 years and outdoor reception is very good. Inside my Dodge Durango or my apartment the reception is horrific at best. This was also true while living in Los Angeles. Indoors the phone sucks.

No dropped calls. Way happier when compared to Sprint PCS.

I'm in an apt. on the second floor and get 1 or no bars for signal strength. Calls are dropped all the time. I never get text messages or VM until later that day. Terrible!

I do not get any signal in my ground floor apt. Even if I do, it drops in the middle of the call. I need to stand by a window to get atleast a couple of minutes. However it works pretty well when outside.

att always tells me I will get service I will get service but it has been way way to long I have frends that have verison and they make calls in my basement and ill be lucky if I get a call outside ill be lucky if I can send a text message

Drops on most all calls. No service works well here. It really sucks when you have to pay so much for the service plans and get this kinda service at home.

Little to no service in this area VZ seems slightly better
