Cingular claims there is no service in the Hillsville, VA area. But my phone shows almost full strength signal indication and phone display shows I'm within the Cingular network. I understand that this could have been due to conversion from an old AT&T wireless site. My phone used to say "Cingular Extend" when in this area
Can't use GSM at all in most rural areas, yet can't get out of contract with company providing ONLY GSM service. Paying monthly for a useless phone for 1 1 / 2 more years, that's really not fair.
