excellent reception except throughout Northern neck except White Stone

Verizon is the only serious cel coverage of Lancaster County, with many dead areas. They have 3 full cel sites and a few mini-sites or reflectors in the county. The old site is just outside Kilmarnock SSW side between Rt 3 and 200. New ones are behind Lancaster Courthouse inland along Rt 3, and NNE of the center of White Stone 22578. Data is choked EVDO (1.4 Mbps max). Other CDMA roams to Verizon or is dead, while AT&T has 2 newer sites (1 perpetually malfunctioning and they fail to repair after dozens of reports), to which other GSM roams.

AT&T has limited cel coverage of Lancaster County, with many dead areas. They have 2 cel sites in the county. The old site is on the NW side of Kilmarnock. A new one is behind Lancaster Courthouse inland along Rt 3. They announced intent to share the Verizon site NNE of the center of White Stone 22578, but never built that one. The GSM (2G mode) voice signal from the 22482 site has never been configured to work without garble, echo, and distortion, apparently a connectivity issue to the last in the series site. 3G data was added May 2010 and voice works properly when using that signal, but calls revert to GSM and become poor quality to unusable. AT&T deserves a criminal fraud prosecution and another class action suit for failing to fix that many times reported issue in 3 years.

My phone was basically a paper weight that played games the whole time I was in Kilmarnock. Thank Goodness my mom had her Net10 phone cause it was the only thing that got a signal where ever we went. I was deep inside the Super Walmart and the thing still worked. Thank You Net10!
