Reception is very flaky. Most of the time 1 bar. I cannot make or receive calls unless I am at a certain window in the house and even then the call quality is usually very poor or gets disconnected often. Cingular is a good carrier, When I used them from my previous location in Ashburn (20147) I had no problem with reception at all.

Near major city or interstate is excellent. Stray to rural areas and its dead.

The reception out here is very poor. I have call dropping as soon as get in the neighborhood. At my apartment I may have two bars if I move around my place. When I do I have to sit on the floor just to talk. For the past few days I can't get a steady signal. It goes from two bars to none at all in a matter of seconds. It's frustrating when you are trying to talk to someone on my cell and have to constantly call him / her back. Sprint reception really sucks here.

Always 4-5 bars in the house and around Leesburg downtown within walking distance, except in big stores with lots of flourescents (Like Home Depot, Target) where everyone drops out. Total drop-out on Rt 15 anywhere near Point of Rocks.

Very rare to hold an entire conversation without dropping the call. Setting phone to roaming only helps a little but not much. Phone does connect at EVDO speeds but not at any impressive speeds at all.

I bought my phone for its excellent reception which is likely the reason why I get any reception at all. I can not hold a conversation without being dropped. Mostly, I learn that I've received a call after the fact.

My service inside my home waivers between 1 bar and no bars, My calls drop all the time and callers and I often have to repeat ourselves during calls. If I stand pushing my face into a window I can sometimes get through a whole phone call with out having to redial.

Normally 1 to 2 bars, but usually can get through a phone call, occasionally having to repeat a few words.
