This phone is great for everything except phone calls -- it is unusable at home, although I can text message. Reception is extremely poor, was much better with my old Samsung Eternity.

By the windows facing south I get very good coverage, but inside the house I usually get 1-2 bars and calls quality is bad and frequently dropped.

Normally 1 to 2 bars, but usually can get through a phone call, occasionally having to repeat a few words.

I often have two bars but incoming calls are usually dropped and outgoing calls are nearly impossible. My husband has an older phone and he gets better service than I do (AT&T Cingular also)

I get great Cingular GSM coverage throughout Leesburg and south to Chantilly and even out to Purcellville / Round Hill. I have never had a problem getting reception BUT, my wife has the same exact phone and carrier (and we are on the same family plan) and she cannot get coverage in River Creek at our house. I guess I got the Razr with the good antenna. I am going to try one of those boosters you stick on your battery and if that doesn't work I'm getting her another phone. I have found that the phone can make a big difference in getting reception.

Very rare to hold an entire conversation without dropping the call. Setting phone to roaming only helps a little but not much. Phone does connect at EVDO speeds but not at any impressive speeds at all.

T-Mobile's reception isnt bad but there seems to be times when you just cant acquire a signal and occasionally it is hard to hear the other person or for them to hear you. This is especially true in buildings.

I bought my phone for its excellent reception which is likely the reason why I get any reception at all. I can not hold a conversation without being dropped. Mostly, I learn that I've received a call after the fact.
