Reception all over this county is weak and inconsistent at best. I can stand 200 feet from the towers around here and the bars will jump around from 0> full. Two of my employees have Cingular analog service with their Motorola t120 phones and consistenly have strong service where I dont. For all of us Cingular users we are looking at Verizon when our plans are up. It's too bad T-Mobile isn't here as there service RULES!

Great coverage in Luray with Cingular

Sprint PCS affiliate Shentel, provides excellent PCS wireless service in Luray, VA along Rt. 211 and Rt. 340 from Shenandoah, VA going north to Front Royal. New sites along Rt. 340 and Stanley, VA has expanded the wireless footprint of Sprint PCS in this area. Future tower buildout are expected to improve in-vehicle and in-building coverage in this area. Try out your Sprint PCS phone in this area and visit Luray Caverns and other tourist destinations in Page and Warren County.

The coverage of Verizon wireless in page county is good in some places, but very spotty in others. Past springfield school all the way to front royal, there is no service at all. Also, going toward sperryville as soon as you get passed yogi bear's there is no service. But as far as in town and at most places in the county, it is fair to good.

Coverage from the town limits is solid until users reach the area of Springfield Elementary school approx 10 miles north of town where spotty coverage combined with cell creapage from the I-81 corridor cells can cause no service or dropped calls even with signal bars being shown on the phone display. Coverage north of the Springfield school location until Front Royal, Virginia can be summed up to be spotty at best due to sites being received by the phone but the phone cannot transmit back to complete calls.
