The stretch between the PW PKWY and Rt 66 I always loose my call it just dies. Also most of linton hall rd in gainsville bristow area signal sucks or there is none! but usaully every where else its pretty good.
Great service but only with a quad band phone Cingular service here utlizes the 850 frequency so most tri band phones. Almost all tri band phones don't utilize the 850 band freq. I get okay service with tri band phones 1 bar in doors and 3 outside.
Tmobile reception in this area is poor at best. The closest tower from the area I listed is at 234 and the parkway. Heading east on the parkway it's not untill you get down across the bridge that the Davis Ford Rd. tower kicks in for a brief stretch. Reception in manassas is ok, but spotty due to lack of towers. mall reception improved. reception in clifton is amazingly impressive where as 66 coverage is spotty. Unless you have a specific reason for getting TMobile, do yourself a favor and don't.
Virgin Mobile uses the SprintPCS network, so this applies to Sprint users as well. Coverage at the intersection of PWC Pkwy. and Moore Dr.is full bars as the hidden tower is located on the golf course grounds. This fills a huge gap and really helps reception on the parkway. This is also thanks in part to the PWC Police cars using SprintPCS for thier radio-modems. Sprint coverage is among some of the best in this area, hardly finding a spot where I can't make a call.
My service is generally decent except for in my home. I have little to no understanding due to the fact that I live on the 3rd floor in an apartment building. My husbands phone is excellent (Samsung A660).
