I just moved here from Louisiana. In Baton Rouge I had exceptional coverage with Nextel. Now in No. VA. it has turned to dirt. Frequent drops and bad voice compression. I am considering Verizon.

sketchy coverage throughout this area. Two bars in my driveway but little reception in my home. Had Verizon before and had much better reception.

T-mobile drops out on 123 near the CIA. Does any service work on 123? Works fine in NW DC. Works fine in the business district of McLean.

No to very poor reception on GW Parkway towards National Airport. Calls just drop. Now know to not even attempt to initiate calls until on 395 South.

No T-Mobile reception at all on Rt. 123 from Langley up to Evans Farm. This is a constant source of frustration.

In the house, its pretty bad. I can make and receive calls ok, but calls will drop frequently, depending on the length of call. I have to drive over a mile in one direction to get more than 2 bars. So much for having an advantage living in one the richer areas of one of the richest county in america.

I have used Nextel, T-Mobile, and Verizon Wireless over the past five years. Verizon Wireless has provided by far the best coverage in the DC area. Nextel gave me the worst coverage, decent in the city but spotty in the suburbs and terrible the further away from the city I got, and T-Mobile was slightly better than Nextel. Verizon Wireless seems to work everywhere.
