I have AT&T and a Blackberry Curve... I use my phone for my business... reception SUCKS! The guy at AT&T told me that it was because of the tower, where they are situated that we are outside of the area!1 I Pay for 3 phones and not getting service I pay for. He says other phones will work better..am going today to see if I can get another phone other than my Blackberry... we will see, don"t want to loose my plan..not my fault I need another phone! NOT FAIR!

Man I am very sorry to say this, just because I am a district manager for Think Wireless (We Sell Cingular), not sorry of think wireless but cingular, I never thought I would sell a product that I didnt like. But it so happened. Every Where I went, from some theater to some other theater basically most of that part (cant say much because I didnt see the rest of the city) service sucked. service sucked the WHOLE way on US Route 29. That was a nightmare. The road itself is so freakin scary, then on TOP of that no service, I thought some blair witch was about pop off. lol. But Lynchburg Was fun though, first time there, visiting my Fianc`e and her family, it was great.

Cingular has hideous coverage across the region with very poor voice quality and frequent dropped calls. I've had two different manufacturers' phones with little difference. Uses the pre-merger SunCom ATT towers. Customer service is abysmal. My spouse's Alltel phone and my brother's Verizon service work great in our neighborhood and across town. I am paying the penalty and switching out of Cingular!

Perfect reception... Calls don't drop and it only fluctuates between 4 and 5 bars... . Mostly 5.

Not even a mile from the nearest tower, 5 miles from the second one and then 6 miles from the third tower and then so on. What's the deal with the reception?

I had no problem with Suncom but ever since the merger my reception has been horrible! I hate Cingular and it was a horrible decision to merge(in my opinion). I have no reception in my home, my calls drop everyday it is a living nightmare!
