Cell reception has improved with AT&T from what it was two years ago; they just added antennas on a power line near Judes Ferry and 711 that helped a lot. It could use improvement, but it's not as bad as it once was. Verizon, on the other hand, doesn't work at all.

I get absolutely no reception unless it is in the middle of winter and the phone is placed carefully in one spot on the third floor of my home; then I may get 1 bar. Cingular's coverage in rural central Virginia is atrocious. My entire neighborhood and even many parts of Chesterfield and more dense areas get low or no reception. Static also plagues calls even with 5 bars of service. Alltel worked much better back when we had it.
