I get no reception on Peters Creek Rd.between the Salem Tnpk and Shenandoah Ave. On Salem Commons Lane I only get a bar or two in my apartment.

I have no complaints except for Elliston and Shawsville... everywhere else I can talk with out problems.

This entire area with T-Mobile (or Cingular) is sketchy. At my house, I get one bar only sometimes; the rest of the time it's no service. But if I walk to the far end of my yard, stand on one foot, and lean at a 37-degree angle towards the east, I can get a call to go through before a bird flies through (apparantly, GSM signals can't go through birds). I am dead serious about this. It's terrible.

This is one of the few CDMA tri-mode phones that picks up well on the fringe of a digital tower. I havce been very impressed with its capabilities. I also have an LG VX6000, which does a little better with digital when you're just barely in reach of a tower, but the Nokia 6015i will still make a call - which is a big indication of it's reception power on Rt. 311 (Catawba Valley Drive) when you're in Catawba Valley.

There are not many cell phones with Verizon that will pick up on Rt. 311 (Catawba Valley Drive) coming from Salem, but the VX6000 I just got does better than any other phone I've had with Verizon. The antenna in it is configured to make this possible. This seems to be a trend with CDMA all-digital phones. Even though they don't pick up analog, they pick p a stronger digital signal when you're on the fringe of a tower.
