six years ago I signed up for Verizon and also purchased an Air Card. Reception was near perfect. Now for the last two years the reception is right above dead and the internet is in the 3kb range, far from what it is suposed to be. All Verizon says is the the tower is over 8 miles away and they will cancel my contract if I want. All I want is good service that they are and were supposed to provide. They talk about how great their service is, well I signed a petition at the Verizon Store which ask Verizon to provide what they promised. That was last year and no, there is no new improved service at this time. What is really strange is that there is a tower only 3 football fields away. I'm sure the owner of the tower would be very glad to lease them space. Oh well, I guess i've said my piece. good luck to you all.

This road is just above dead. May be one good spot. Phones do not work inside houses and spotty when outside. Years ago when we first signed up with Verizon everything was great. Now with newer phones (V325, Motorola 815, Nokia 6315i) nothing works. Maybe switching to Alltel or tmobile.
