Cant expect much in rural areas. But Verizon works okay out here. I was able to make cell phpne my primary phone but dont expect too much for data because there is no 3G in this neck of the woods or dsl for that matter of fact. oh yeah I CAN get 3 bars but that mean I DO all of the time.

I have tested this phone and service for the past 2 years and so far I have no complains about the reception. I travel inconus and to the Caribbean (PR) and the reception is great. Looking for a less expensive plan but afraid that it will come with less reception.

Major Industrial Park for the Suffolk Area... When I visit this area my fully-charged cell battery runs out searching for a signal.

Since I first wrote on 6 / 28 / 05, Verizon said they need another tower to cover my area, as I am 1.2 miles too far away from their downtown tower. At least at the end of this month I can switch carriers without a penalty as they don't care whether the "Can you hear me now?" man can hear in my driveway. They have called me 4 times to renew and take a survey, but do nothing about the poor service in my home area. I am tired having to use the speaker phone to somewhat hold a call.

I seldom get more than two bars and frequently drop calls inside my house - Verizon freely admits I am in a weak reception area and that they "have plans to improve the system out there." I have to move around my house to find the best room where I willnot drop a call.

Get better reception inside house. Must use speaker phone and lay the phone down to maintain the 2 bar reception. Verizon needs to put another tower near the Kings Fork High School / Route 10. I have called Verizon and they said their tower is in downtown Suffolk and is apparently not high enough to reach and maintain a strong signal on Queen Annes Ct. off Kings Fork Rd.to the route 10 instersection. I will sometimes get no reception in parts of my yard. I have a Verizon wireless laptop which gets only spotty reception.

only bad signal I have for Verizon. For some reason, every carrier I have had loses signal right here for about a 1 / 2 mile area. Other than that Verizon has been better than Suncom, T-Mobile and N-Telos.

Verizon is consistently the only signal you can get in the western or southern edge of the city( near carolina border). As a police officer, on more than once occasion i have come across broken down motorist holding their phone ( digital) in which they have no signal. yes, i let them call aaa with my vx4400. Verizon is the way to go "out here" in God"s country.
