I love my Verizon service. I get great reception in my home and almost anywhere I go. I had Sprint for 3 years before switching to Verizon 2 years ago. I couldn't get service with Sprint in my home or places like Red Lobster, dam neck rd etc. After trying 3 different Sprint phones Sprint told me they don't guarantee service in buildings (sprints customer service is horrible). Also when I had Sprint my friend who had T-Mobile could get service when I couldn't. I then switched to Verizon and what a difference. Wonderful reception and great customer service! I wouldn't switch to any other company!

It depends on how the winds blowing, I guess. I've never had so many problems with reception as I have had with this phone.

Reception outside of house is OK, if I'm out back, facing west (toward Pungo Ferry bridge). Inside, I get anywhere from 1 to 4 bars, but it fluctautes and drops the call quite often. As I travel quite a bit, I have been pleased to get service from Maine to Key West, out to San Diego and Las Vegas

The map shows two towers located within a mile of my home, but neither is owned by Sprint... my reception drops off repeatedly in the house, but works ok outside. Less than 3 / 4 mile from me, on Lynnhaven Pwy near Albright, there is a "dead zone" where I lose reception totally 9 times out of 10.

I get some service close to the windows of the house, but none or broken inside. Then outside, clear as a bell. Suncom, then Cingular, now T-mobile... . but people with Alltel can talk through my house!

Cell tower VA04607 is a Nextel Tower and the end of Marvin Rd off of Princess Anne Road. New antennas have just been added to this tower so service to Sprint users and maybe others seems likely.

Carrier - nTelos. No reception when you enter Bordeaux Court (Foxfire) area. Problem reported to N-telos several times and was told that I live in a dead zone and asked if I havea tower in that area. Company acts as if this is my problem (as if I knew there was a dead zone when they sold me the phone), and do not want to address problem or even give credit for drop calls. Customer Service at the Norfolk Military Crossing branch stinks to say the least. All they want to do is argue with you the customer. Had no such problems with reception when we had Verizon. My wife has Alltel and she has no problem using the phone on Bordeaux Court or in the house. Three other friends also are experiencing the same problems within areas adjacent to where I live. It is sad that this company n-Telos keep selling people phone when they know that their reception is bad in this area. This constitutes fraud and deception and I intent to report them to the Better Business Bureau.

Works fine at Shore Dr.drops off near beach. Signal fluctuates wildly in my home. I must go to the second floor to get a signal. Has a habit of not ringing and fifteen seconds later you are informed you have a voice mail. 710 has a bad charging connection. It connects by two small pins that are very close together. If the phone is not flat or the charging cord has any strain against it, the charging connection is severed and the phone does not charge. Its address book is also strange. Instead of storing all the numbers under one contact name it records each number as a seperate contact so you must scroll through an excessivly long list even within a particular alpha lookup.

3-6 bars of service in my house. Cingular is great in Virginia Beach. I used to have a Nokia 6360 on Suncom's TDMA network. That service was great. Then I got a Nokia 3220 on Suncom's GSM network. Service was crap in neighborhoods. Always got the network busy signal. Then Suncom merged with Cingular. Now I have a Nokia 6230. Service is great. I have perfect reception almost everywhere. Cingular is great!

I usually have great reception. But when I'm in the Greenbrier area of Chesapeake along Providence Rd. my phone will go in and out of sevice, but still have a full signal. I think its just the phone, because my old phone never did that. Also I can never get a signal in Lynnhaven Mall. Maybe if I'm lucky I'll be able to get 1 bar and talk for a couple of seconds before I get a dropped call. Other than that, I've had near perfect reception. Even in tunnels I can still get reception.
