most of the time I have either one bar or no signal. Not truly safe for a military person who is on call 24 / 7. No help from AT&T either.

Worst reception I've ever had with ATT. More towers, or less customers... your choice.

Started off a year ago with decent reception, but have been experiencing more frequent dropped calls and unbearably slow data coverage. Getting more "server timed out messages," as well as duplicate texts.

I live on the National Golf Course. 1 to 2 bars inside, maybe3 outside. Just got the Droid Incredible and I'm not sure how it ranks with my previous phones since I never really paid that much attention, but I was told that I was breaking up, so I guess it's the cell coverage.

Absolutely no reception at the resort. Paying 100 dollars a month, I should be able to get reception anywhere I decide to be! I got better reception with NTelos, and I paid less.

Coverage is fantastic. Data speeds regularly top out over 1K. Never dropped a call since I got here.

Fantastic Coverage where I live. Fast EVDO, and never have a problem with it. Forget AT&T... I like my coverage. And for those people having trouble with Sprint... turn on your roam option. We roam on Verizon for free!

My phone automatically goes to voice mail and is continuously searching so the battery quickly goes dead. I have to drive around the neighborhood to find a one-bar area. I have never had a dead zone with this phone in any other area. Those with Verizon have no problems in this neighborhood.

The cupola (dome-like structure) on top of Barrett Hall contains a hidden Verizon tower. Generally, coverage is amazing on that part of the William and Mary campus, near the sunken garden, etc.

Solid, never, ever a dropped call. If you have trouble, suspect you phone. Did you get a 'free' cell phone - get what you (didn't) pay for.

Coverage is good to very good overall. -80 to -100 dbm signal level (2-5 bars for non-techs). 3G coverage is very good. There is room for improvement. Also have T-mobile, AT&T, and Verizon. Best overall is AT&T with Sprint a close second. My travels are all over Williamsburg and east I-64 to VA Beach.

I've been here 6 months and it varies between 1.5 bars and no service at all. Looking forward to the end of my AT&T contract.

No reception in most buildings on campus, including mine. Outside my building I have good service about half the time and 1-2 bars the other half of the time but it is usually enough to make a call. I find it very odd that you can usually get 4-5 bars outside in Colonial Williamsburg but as you move west across campus the signal becomes worse and worse. There are places on new campus where I get little or no service even outside. Sadly, I upgraded my phone and renewed my contract the summer before coming here, so I've got another year left. Very disappointed. AT&T dropped the ball big time here.

They've boosted the signal from a year ago... pretty much as good as you could hope for.

If I wasn't on a two year contract with AT&T, I would switch in a second. I get absolutely no service inside the Jamestown buildings, or Swem, or many of the others. I used to get very little service inside my dorm in other buildings, though, not nothing at all. And when I called AT&T's customer service to tell them it's terrible on campus, all they said was "it's labeled as 'good service'". I told them I was standing right in the middle of it, and it definitely isn't good service, but my call was dropped and I didn't get a call back. I'm very frustrated with them at the moment, I mean honestly... why do other providers get service inside this building, and only AT&T has problems?

No reception inside the dormitory. AT ALL! Tried talking to at&t's costumer service and said that they don't guarantee calls from indoors WTF...

coverage is non-existent inside any building, and I am stuck on a contract, its ridiculous.

Verizon very solid in and around Williamsburg; definitely the carrier to have in this area.
