Fantastic Coverage where I live. Fast EVDO, and never have a problem with it. Forget AT&T... I like my coverage. And for those people having trouble with Sprint... turn on your roam option. We roam on Verizon for free!

The cupola (dome-like structure) on top of Barrett Hall contains a hidden Verizon tower. Generally, coverage is amazing on that part of the William and Mary campus, near the sunken garden, etc.

Solid, never, ever a dropped call. If you have trouble, suspect you phone. Did you get a 'free' cell phone - get what you (didn't) pay for.

Coverage is good to very good overall. -80 to -100 dbm signal level (2-5 bars for non-techs). 3G coverage is very good. There is room for improvement. Also have T-mobile, AT&T, and Verizon. Best overall is AT&T with Sprint a close second. My travels are all over Williamsburg and east I-64 to VA Beach.

Verizon very solid in and around Williamsburg; definitely the carrier to have in this area.

I have excellent reception using AT&T (formerly Cingular) as my wireless provider. I carry my cellphone everywhere as a safety measure, even when I play golf.

I'm pleased with the reception I've gotten from Alltel and I would recommend it to others. It seems like I've always got a good signal. It drops off a little indoors, but I've never been in any campus building or store that I couldn't make a call from anywhere. Love this phone, it sounds crystal clear. I've had several people ask me what provider I use in several places because they're getting no service and in comparison, Alltel seems to do great here.

Very good reception. But, where I live I only get 1 or 2 bars, but that doesn't matter because I never lose a call.

Verizon works so much better than any other phone provider. I have friends who ask to use my phone just because they have bad single. On certain parts of campus there are rough spots -- but with in very limited area. Inside most buildings service is perfect (basements can sometimes be trouble spots). I don't know of any other service provider that even comes close to the amount of coverage Verizon offers in Williamsburg

I agree with others reviewing other networks that William and Mary is a little bit of a trouble area, I can still hold a call throughout campus and not drop but I get down to about 2 bars in most buildings but some buildings seem worse, I don't know if it's interference or what. I've tried Verizon and that got down to 0-1 bars and doesn't work in the same places. So overall, I'm happy with Alltel and after listening to friends and trying Verizon and Alltel, Alltel is definitely the best option around here. Friends with Cingular and Sprint tell me not to even think about getting them. I wish they'd allow another tower closer to W&M though for all providers. Throughout the rest of Williamsburg, coverage just fine, much better than it was with Verizon. I average 1-2 extra bars with Alltel and the calls don't drop. They sound clear. Love the My Circle feature, my family plan went from $110 / month to $70 / month with My Circle because I didn't need 2100 anytime minutes. Don't pay Verizon's outrageous prices, Alltel gives more minutes and My Circle. I'm working hard on converting the rest of my family not on my account, but I've loved Alltel here since I got it. I don't have any problems where I live, at the mall, in any of the residential areas, at Wal-Mart. I'm happy with the service all over Williamsburg and compared to others, it's just as good or better everywhere.

The reception was non-existent a year ago, now we get 2-4 bars most of the time. I think there is a new tower.

Verizon works generally well all over Williamsburg, typically hanging around 3 to 4 bars (out of 6 on this phone), slightly less indoors. Dropped calls are very rare. Picks up MAJOR interference from the wireless internet network on the campus of William and Mary - zero reception almost all the time, with small pockets of signal.

I live on the National Golf Course. 1 to 2 bars inside, maybe3 outside. Just got the Droid Incredible and I'm not sure how it ranks with my previous phones since I never really paid that much attention, but I was told that I was breaking up, so I guess it's the cell coverage.
