I get NO reception on this road. The phones get signal ONLY in one corner of a small room on the west side of the house. Signal bounces from 0 to 1 bar and back even when walking outside. The phone batteries just die looking for signal. Great signal over the hill to the west (1 / 2 mile) on Oakland Station Rd.in Georgia which parallels Nichols.

Rt. 104 / I89 Underpass, Fairfax, VT 05454 |
Wed Feb 10, 2010 |
Cellular coverage in Fairfax is good Using AT and T. # G service has not been rolled out on the Georgia Mountain Site. St. Albans city does have 3 G. The section of route 104 going under the I89 Underpass is a place where calls drop. A new tower was put up today 2 / 9 / 2010 maybe ATT will lease space to fix this problem. Signal also drops on Route 104A at the low point near the Lamoille River. Service on Woodward Rd.in Fairfax is dead just past Ovitt Road. All in all good coverage with AT and T.

Was able to make a call, but only had one bar of digital service. Near by towns of St. Albans or Georgia have much better reception. Overall VT has the worst cell phone service in any state I have ever visited. I think this is partly due to the trees and mountians. Not to mention the fact that there is under a million people in the entire state!
