I get all calls clear on my Unicel phone. In my home, in the car etc. My cell phone works better than my home phone. Unicel also works great going "into town" to morrisville. There is a dead zone going to Lowell. Verizon works ok to poor, they are getting better though, so I hear.

Unicel's (Formerly cellular one) reception in and around Morrisville and Hyde Park is very good and getting better all the time, especially heading west toward Jeffersonville. I can now drive from home to Smugg's without losing reception. Coverage at Smugg's is also very good. Up in Garfield however it is a different story, but that is more due to terrain, I can't even get WCAX, Channel 3 off the air. All-in-all, avoid Verizon if you want to use a cell phone in Lamoille County.

Just switched from Cingular to verizon, not because of coverage, just because too many people I know have Verizon and I can save because of Verizon to Verizon calling being free. Basically couldnt get too much closer to the cellular one antenna in Hyde Park. So, service is good in Hyde Park, even though its not even part of the Cingular or Verizon network. Driving down RT 15 or RT 100 is another story however. With Cingular my service was a bit better driving over stagecoach Rd, and would only lose service for about 300ft. Now with Verizon its still alright but its more like a few miles until I get to stowe, which actually has a Verizon tower there. So Ive basically found both Verizon and Cingular to be good alternatives to Unicell in Vermont.
