Consistently can make calls from the boat landing on the south end of Lake Elmore or at the Elmore Store. Multiple bars (3) of cell service is displayed on the west side of the lake, but calls do not go out or come in - LG phones indicate Channel Not Available. Unicel had no input as to what this means or why it happens - tried giving me a new SIM - same issue occurs with ATT.

No coverage in Lake Elmore town itself or anywhere around the lake, but could get coverage just north of there on Rt. 12 near Tjader Rd. Pulled off Rt 12 at that point and made several sucessful calls.

I own a house on the lake. There are a few warm spots around the lake, but they are all hit and miss, depending on weather conditions and other things. Text messaging works better than voice calls, but it is also not reliable. As mentioned in other posts, your best bet is to drive towards Morrisville on Rt 12 a couple of miles until you round the backside of Elmore Mountain and can see to the west towards Morrisville and Mt. Mansfield - good coverage there. There is also coverage on Elmore Pond Rd.as you head up the hill away from the lake, just where the road turns to the right towards Wolcott. From there you can hit the towers in Morrisville, albeit with only a couple of bars.

Was able to find a warm spot or two on the east side of the lake (no true hot spots) where I was able to make a call that eventually dropped out. Very poor coverage to (mostly) no coverage in most areas around the lake. Follow Rt 12 north a mile or two to hot spots looking towards Morrisvile.

There is absolutely NO coverage in the town at all. I was able to find one spot on Brown Hill where I could get 5 bars but I was unable to complete a call when dialed; it just would not go through, nor could I receive calls.
