Almost no ATT service on New Boston Rd. in Norwich / Thetford. Once a lone inbound cell call got thru in 2 years. No outbound ever. We set up WiFi (and VOIP phone) in the house thru Comcast cable (we are the very last house on the cable wire) to access Internet on iPhones. Also have a Verizon cell modem on my traveling laptop that does not work here either. All this technology - Comcast, 3 iPhones, Verizon and a Fairpoint land line for 911 local service in case of power and cable outage emergency is costing me almost $400 / month. Whew!
Great reception for unicel in Norwich north on I91. The further west from I91 the less signal strength. It's too bad they are going to sell out to Verizon leaving the GMS band in VT in an unknown state.
No service any where in the village. You can get some service (on a clear day) if you drive to the top of some hills. I understand Nextel and Unicel are the only carriers that work in the village.
