Coverage in the Rochester area is very limited, and only available at all with a GSM phone (AT&T). On top of the hills one can connect to the tower to the south in the Killington area. There is also a tower in the church steeple in the village which has about a 2-mile range. There is a new tower almost complete just north of Rochester on top of a hill in southern Granville. When this comes on line, suppposedly Oct 30 according the AT&T tech people, it should cover this area fairly well (I hope). There is no coverage driving through the mountain gaps, like route 107.

There is coverage in the center of the village by an AT&T antenna in the church steeple. It does not seem to have a backup power supply. The nearest functioning tower is in the area of Pico Peak, about 20 mi south, but can be used in the higher areas of Rochester on the east side. AT&T is completing a new cell tower that is supposed to be onlline by 10 / 30 / 11. It is in place and the wiring, etc., appears to be under way now. It should cover most of the area north of the center of Rochester, along route 100, and in the hills to the east. We are anxiously awaiting this long over-due installation.
