Great reception almost everywhere in Vermont. Those traveling with me using Verizon often need to borrow my phone. Vermont is an 850MHz state. If your phone is only a dual or tri-band and you'll have no reception in Vermont. Check to see if one of the bands are 850MHz. Sorta like my travels in China; if one of the bands aren't 900MHz your SOL in China. California like 1900MHz. England likes 1800MHz in most areas.

There is a tower on top of Mt. Pritchard so if you are within line of sight of the tower you can get good reception. But if you are anywhere on the lake where you cant see the tower forget about it. Also to be noted there is a "dead zone" at the intersection of Oak Hill Rd and Old Creamery.

Currently, Cingular does not have GSM service in Vermont. SBC map shows coverage in Vermont, Cincular's GSM map doesn't show any coverage. Careful being lured by "no roaming charges" BECAUSE YOU PROBABLY CAN'T ROAM.
