This is just one example of my Verizon reception going down hill. I never used to have a problem. Just got a replacement Droid X but no better.

Used to have great reception but it has been deteriorating rapidly over the last 6 mos or so. Now I get voicemail instead of phonecalls, and texts come in up to a day later. This happens all over town. 520 and Bellevue Way, Crossroads area, MS campus. I thought it was the phone going weak but now I am thinking it is the service. My contract is about to run out and I am researching to find something better.

My I Phone 3GS and AT and T are great. NO dropped calls or distortion. It even works in the desert of Eastern Washington where friend's T Mobile, and others DON'T. I am happy, and the data always loads. No complaints (YET). I think some of this may well be the I Phone. My Android phone sucks.

I live in a three story house on Phantom Lake. To make or receive a call I need to go to the third floor of my house or walk about 100' to my dock. Very spotty service around the property and on the 1st and 2nd floor..T Mobile has a tower nearby but that doesn't help reception.

Apparently there is great Edge coverage, but our phones lock onto VERY weak 3g coverage. Have not found a way to force Edge usage only. This has been going on forever, ATT is not helpful in resolving.

At my kid's school, I am unreachable except for the occasional text message that squeezes through. No bars on any Verizon phone, ever.

AT&T's 3G network seems overloaded. I get frequent loss of connectivity, slow data, or time outs. The network sometimes drops from 3G to Edge, to something even slower all by itself. At times turning off 3G is the only way to get anything to work.

Very spotty reception here at the office (PSE Service Center). Often no service at all. Horrible call quality when calls are able to go through, audio is interrupted. Data is extremely slow or unable to connect / download. SMS is often delayed by several minutes.

Newport Hills / 119 Ave.SE and SE 60 St.,, Bellevue, WA 98006 Thu May 21, 2009

Hi to all, this is an update for my Feb. 8th, 2009 review; *I exchanged my LG Dare I used on Feb. 8th and got an Omnia instead for its web surfing features. few days ago I came here (Newport Hills) for work, and I noticed my Omnia and LG 6100 had full bars, and did not roam on Sprint tower, so I decided to come back to do another round of comprehensive testing. so today May 20th, I got the chance to come here around 8 pm, and performed the test in all areas I pointed in my previous review from Coal Creek parkway and se 60th st. all the way to Lake Wash. Blvd., I tested around the YMCA on se 56th st to 116th Ave se, Red Apple parking lot, around the High school, basicly I covered the whole area and here are the results: steady and strong 1xRTT signal all over the place. good EV-DO signal strength through out the whole area except at the intersection of se 60th and Coal Creek, but I was able to access the web using Verizon's 1xRTT" (1X Radio Transmission Technology). I tested the EV-DO connection by downloading the MSN Live Search traffic map, and it did very fast with no problems, the same thing with Google. even though the EV-DO signal strength was not steady as the 1X signal, but it didn't effect surfing the web performance or speed. so I'm empressed with the improvement Verizon did for the network in this area. I didn't notice any new towers been erected in this area, so I don't know how they did it.? hope you'll find this review helpfull. thanks

I've had Verizon for the past 4 years and have NOTHING good to say about them! Not only do I get terrible reception pretty much everywhere I go, but their customer service is useless. I have tried 7 different phone models with them since day one and every time I call in to ask them about their service, they tell me I need to update my roaming... Well, I tell them I did that, so they tell me I need a new phone... Again, I tell them that I JUST bought a brand new phone, so I then get put on hold and 4 / 5 times I get forgotten. I am switching to AT&T today because everyone I know with it gives positive feedback and a lot of them switched from Verizon due to the same complaints I have had. THINK TWICE BEFORE GETTING VERIZON!

This GSM Net10 Phone works better than my Verizon phone ever did. They seem to work on both AT&T and T-Mobile's networks. Call are clear, I average 4-5 bars in my home in Lake Hills, and 3-5 at work in Crossroads. Calls don't drop either.

Not sure what's wrong with the T-Mobile towers reception keeps going from poor to absent often. Phone keeps getting into "searching for signal mode" often and I cannot make / answer any calls as there is weak signal. I sent emails to their customer service using their website 2-3 times a day and I didn't get even an acknowledgement.

Phone works in a few spots of the house and yard, could drop the call 4 or 5 times during one call. I drive to work into Seattle, I have to wait until half the way there before I can make a call. At work, it doers not work at my desk, if I want to talk, I have to go out in the rain to take the call. Now back to Bellevue, the phone never works, I'm always going into to ROAM, what is that? I have been with Sprint for over ten years, I have a great plan, because they keep giving me free stuff, enough is enough, I can't use my phone. I will leave Sprint and pay to get out of my contract.

2-3 bars of service, now that I no longer live in range of the REPEATER at crossraods mall that they just put in. Coverage is limited and call quality sucks in the Lake Hills area. Not dropping as often as they used to when I lived in crossroads, but I do still have problems even connecting to my call. It takes my phone almost 2-3 minutes to even connect. Phone sometimes doesn't even ring, goes straght to VoiceMail. Looked at VZW coverage map and they are DROPPING coverage... looks like Cingular will be my NEXT carrier of choice, now offer 5 times more coverage than VZW. CYA VZW and ur lousy CDMA technology. GSM is clearer, drops calls less often and FASTER data. AND I DONT have to have 3 towers to maintain my connection on GSM, unlike your CDMA REQUIRING a tri-tower connection for proper service.

I frequently experiences dropped calls and no signal. In most part of my house my phone would have 1 bar or less. Reception is horrible. On the other hand, my friend who is also on Verizon uses an Audiovox and his phone seems to work better.
