We can get up to 3 bars, but it's just a tease because we get NO! reception from our home. We have to drive about a mile down the road to get voice mails or calls on our cell phones.

Spotty signal, works poorly in structures. Generally an extended network connection, with no native coverage as of 2 / 08. The CDMA signal is on the Oregon side of the river.

My calls drop all of the time--I can't call someone as I leave my house in downtown Camas, because as I drive out of town, the call will get dropped 95% of the time. Once I hit the Hwy. 14 my calls drop every 2 miles or so. It's a big joke to my family that I have to constantly redial them, but I just find it annoying.

Cingular sucks. 3 to 5 bars doesn't mean you can call; the network won't let you on or drops you. I was a long time AT&T customer who wanted to have a family plan for 3 phones. Cingular insisted I convert to Cingular. Service was much worse; my wife refused to even consider using the new phones. One of the new phones died; Cingular told me to send it to Motorola for service. We bought a new phone with no discounts from Cingular. We moved from Portland during this process; Cingular was fine sending our old AT&T account bills to our new address, but new Cingular account bills were sent to our old address... .and we didn't get them. A late payment letter arrived Saturday, September 3. We called Tuesday, September 6, and were told to pay for two months service by September 23. We sent a check September 6, our service was cut off September 7. We changed to Verizon. 8 cell phones for 3 people bought in the last 8 months. Amazing.

Cingular, the poster child for wireless service schizophrenia. While claiming that they are "Raising the Bar" they have been simultaneously dropping most of my mobile calls. I finally dropped Cingular after putting up with dropped connections for far too long. For what other service would I fork over so much money for such colossally awful service?

I had AT&T for several years with very few dropping of connections and weak signals. I made the sad mistake of switching to Cingular a couple of weeks ago and my phone with Cingular now drops calls repeatedly and has weak signals (Very often there's no signal!) Very frustrating customer service. The same sales employees eager to sign me up with this "great wireless company" have all crawled into their holes and have very little explanation for the poor reception with my new service. Please, please, please stay with AT&T and don't make the same mistake as me! Better yet... switch to another service provider all together. A rotary phone would work better than the current Cingular!

I called AT&T to ask how I could get better reception in my home. My phone worked fine ten feet anywhere outside my house, but inside, no bars at most times and calls drop walking from the living room to the kitchen. They sold me this great new wonderful GSM phone with increased coverage. I had to sign a new two year agreement. Just got my first bill and it is double. The person I spoke with put me on a plan that had less minutes than my first one and now AT&T wants me to pay double for the same poor coverage. I say everyone with AT&T should just not pay their bill next month. One month of no revenues should show them we mean business and aren't going to pay for stinky service.
