T-mobile in Ellensburg is passable until you get north of the University. I live just north of it. In order to make or receive a call from my house, I have to run out side and pray that the signal faerie is in a giving mood.

Signal variable around town, usually weak. Inside my house sometimes is roaming. Sprint was not a good choice of carrier. I'm looking for a carrier with better local coverage. They all seem to cover urban areas pretty well.

My son and I have a family plan. I use my cell phone to call his phone. The connection is pretty bad when I'm at home. It gets a little better if I go to the high school. But, that's over 2.5 miles from where we live and seems pointless to me. There is a cell tower less than two miles from where we live. I think reception should be a lot better than what it is. Years ago, I had service with AT&T Wireless and had much better reception than I do now.

Perfect reception outside everywhere in town and on campus! But if you're in concrete buildings service is very low. You can still get some but it won't be as good.

I'm still on an AT&T plan and I have no trouble with signal other than obvious physical obstructions like the valeys between EB and Yakima. Went to Wenatchee along HWY 97 and east of the Blewett sumit I was roaming the entire time. Service west of EB through CleElum on to Seattle relatively little signal difficulty. Latest issues is with the Cingular billing failing to properly bill plan minues and charging outrageous faulty amounts. The rep I spoke with last month failed to see one of the examples even though I was giving her line item time and date from my itemized statement.

The Kittitas Valley is well covered. All ranches and farms surrounding Ellensburg have great coverage. Towards Cle Elum and Vantage, coverage is limited to within a mile of the interstate. No signal between Wanapum and Priest Rapids dams, however Mattawa has a minimum signal. Hwy. 2 coverage is good, but stops just west of Leavenworth. Roaming on US Cellular is very good in all the areas mentioned for backup.

I have the NEC 525, I love the phone but the reception is horrible, but it is just not this phone, every phone that I have had before this, has had bad service for me at my house. It isn't bad if I am in town or out of the city, but over all the service here sucks.
