This is the only carrier who gets reception on 99% of the places on campus, including the library building, SMT building and computer labs. Only problem is there can be an echo so you may have to walk around. I recommend Verizon for anyone who is a student or works on campus at Green River Community College.

I have mixed opinion about my reception. I can definitely get a decent reception, and I have definitely had some dropped calls (something I never experienced when I was living in the SF Bay Area). Inside my apartment I don't worry about dropped calls too much. The places where I get dropped calls: only when I am inside my bathroom or when I am inside my bedroom or living room and I put the phone on the ground. If I am sitting in a chair or on my bed then I know the reception will be there. I think my phone is one reason I get decent coverage. I love my Samsung T439. When going to the local Winco or Fred Meyer I don't remember getting dropped call. If I did, it wasn't a big issue. The tower coverage here could definitely be improved, definitely not the greatest coverage for Federal Way. The only place I have struggled mightily for reception was inside Macy's basement in downtown Seattle (near 3rd and Pine). Inside there the caller could barely hear me and reception was really difficult. Driving on the I-5 has not posed much problem either.

Phone sometimes switches over to analog mid-call but it usually doesn't drop the call. Had AT&T (not GSM) and a Nokia 5190 before that was about the same...

Reasonable reception outside the home if you stay away from the trees and upstairs, minimal at best downstairs. The all digital phones in the family have very poor to no covereage while my old Tri-Mode dinosaur reamains the only reliable one. Verizon billing is always on the high side. Be very carefull when you contact them for help or plan service for they will up your 2 year aggreement with each call. Customer service has the appearance of being friendly but they are mostly robotic with seemingly preprogramed responses. Free roll over minutes is the only "temporarily effective" remedy for poor coverage and excessive costs. Hard to believe that we are in the 21st century!

I usually get service at home. Anywhere else though is ridiculous. I have to put my cell phone in pocket sometime just to look for service. At schooli get no service. Whatsoever. T-Mobile have really bad customer service. A lady I had talked to had hung up on me. I would never get tmobile. Ever the best service is tracfone. There prices are reasonable and some phones are really cute for a nice price.

Recetion extremely poor in this area and there appear to be no cell towers in the immediate area. Difficult to use a cell phone due to the drops and bad reception.

They say it's better the closer you are to major cities. I hate my ATT GSM phone. I break up and lose calls all the time.
