Many dropped calls. Phone enters SOS modes multiple times a day no matter if outside or inside. Terribly disappointed in service in the Kent East Hill area. Other areas- Have NOT had a problem. Great svc.

As of 5 / 29 / 09 signal if 1 or no bars. On ocassion it will climb briefly to 2-3 bars and then drop back down. Calls drop in most cases. A year back it was fine so it is not known what has happened. In a years worth of calls to Verizon, they finally had a measurement made here. The tech reported that coverage was marginal. This is contrary to what their coverage map shows. They have no plans to make improvements. They do have an in-home extender. They will not provide that and insist it is my obligation to cough up the $250+ for the device. Interesting, that one year ago ATT was very poor but now they are full strength in the area.

Verizion is horrible in this area and kent in general. I can't use my cell phone in my own house, and the few days it does work the call gets dropped every 2 minutes. When stay with my friend in the same area the only way I can get my phone to work is by puttin it up agianst a window sill and using a headset. VERIZON SUCKS! not only is there service crappy, they also almost always mess up my phone bill. I have been with verizion for two years now and have decided to switch to T-mobile.

I am currently using Verizon but the wife was using T-Mobile before and both have good reception in our area. AT&T had terrible reception in the area. The South East area of Auburn is weaker in the canyon area by the river but still does not drop the call or become distorted. I think the phone model is why the call does not drop in the Auburn area because my friend Verizon phone does drop the call in the canyon. The Verizon gets strong reception in the Black Diamond area.

At my house (between Maple Valley and Kent), Verizon is the best. I had AT&T, and the service at my house was terrible. Only problem I've had with Verizon, is in large buildings, on the lower floors there is little to no reception. The coverage area is large, and I've had few dropped calls. On another note, the hinge on my phone broke a while back, and Verizon replaced my phone free of charge.

I believe the huge High Power lines that run through this area disrupt the already weak signal.
