I have also been shown the dangling carrot of a Verizon tower, but cannot get confirmation from anyone. I can send and receive plain text messages, cannot reliably place or receive phone calls, cannot send or receive multi media messages, cannot access internet. I was told by customer service with Verizon that this phone would work here. Now that I have purchased it, and the required data plan, I am now told that I need to purchase a $200.00 network extender. Bottom line, don't count on cell coverage here.

Dropped calls and spotty Extended data throughout the house and outside. Permit has been obtained for a new tower just South at the Planter Box nursery but no word on when, or if, it is going up.

Same 2 bars with Broadband Card. From horses mouth, nearing completion of site negotiations for all of SW WA area which they want to bring on line at one time. Hope to be completed in 2010. Current coverage is "Extended" out of Warrenton, OR.
