Coverage under the airport shadow is poor at best. This includes coverage, or lack thereof at the Morning Run Apartments (a popular living location in Monroe). WiFi calling is a major fix for the indoor issues south of First Star Field, which broadcasts on a frequency that interferes with most cell provider's signals. The circle of poor coverage is roughly from Kelsey to 179th East to West and Hwy. 2 to 154th / Blueberry Lane Noth to South. If you live in that area, get a smartphone with WiFi calling and you can hook to your home WiFi to increase your coverage.

Coverage outdoors is excellent throughout Monroe, although at one particular area of Monroe the coverage is less than good. A square area near FirstAir Field creates a dead zone for most carriers. If you are in the area between 179th and Kelsey St. and cross that with Blueberry Lane (154th) and Hwy. 2 you will notice some serious coverage holes. Sprint sent us a free Airave Device to make up for our lack of coverage.

Constant dropped calls, I have a line in my apartment and if I cross it reception drops. The only place I get coverage is my living room, 1 / 2 my kitchen and my patio. I go between 5 bars and 1-2 depending on where in my tiny apartment I am.

We live at the end of 161, and the reception is very spotty. Many times in the house, calls are dropped depending on what room your in. Data reception is even less.

Reception is Below Average to Poor depending on where you are in the house. The Broadband / National Access doesn't work at all. We're approximately 1 mile out of town.

Moved to a nice place on the Sultan river last May and discovered the whole Skykomish River valley seems to be in the same cell phone boat... and it's sinking. All 20,000 of us are somehow considered 2nd class citizens. Regardless of where people purchased their cell phone service "plan" - the actual service delivery is poor to none among everyone I have talked to around here. Why doesn't someone get a clue and put a tower at a strategic location on a big hill south of the river with line-of-sight from Skykomish to Sultan? I see that Snohomish County Public Utility District installed a 300 foot tower 5 miles north of Sultan, but I bet that no commercial service is routed through that tower. Probably only serves a few dozen cell phones used by county employees up the Sultan River and at the Spada and Champlain Lake dam projects. I'm going to check on that though.

once in a blue moon, it will ring in my home, but you cant receive the call and it is very rare. You have to get into your car and drive a ways down lake fontal rd and pull over and talk while on the side of the road.
