I kept dropping calls while at home so I looked this up: "How to Get Better Cell Phone Reception with Verizon" on eHow. so pressing *22899 updates the nearby towers It seems like I have much better reception, now I usually have 2-3 bars.

Rarely get more than 1 bar here, spotty reception. I call Verizon and they say everything should be OK. Other people's phones from other carriers get several bars at my location. My phone gets good reception elsewhere. Verizon refuses to admit there's a hole in their map.

The moment I walk up to my house I lose reception. Extremely spotty service, even though Verizon has a tower less than half a block away. Also have poor service in grocery stores or any other kind of building for that matter.

Verizon has terrible reception. I got suckered in to switching from AT&T and T-Mobile because of ads that say they are the best wireless company out there. I have no reception at all in my Condo and in my apartment I previously rented close to Renton City Hall. I have constantly dropped calls and even hanging off of my balcony doesn't help.

I can make and receive calls only from certain windows in my house. Can't move away from the window without losing reception consistently. Can't even receive a steady signal if I'm standing outside. Common to receive voicemails hours if not a day later than the call itself. Phone will switch from digital to analog to extended network constantly. Husband's phone through Sprint always rings and never drops anywhere in the house.
