AT&T is horrible in Richland and outlying areas. I have had T-Mobile / Nextel and Verizon and they put AT&T in the dust in all respects - coverage and customer service. If it wasn't for the fact that AT&T was the only iPhone provider, I would drop it in a heartbeat. Droid and Verizon - I'll be back soon.

Inside the house, reception is spotty. Many times voicemail is received but not the call. Travel extensively around the country, and few if ever dropped calls, except in well known 'dead zones'.

Drops SO MANY CALLS... Cingluar's coverage is great at home or school, but at work in north Richland it's just awful. You can have five bars, wlak ten feet, and have 0 bars. Too many dropped calls, too unreliable.

I doesn't matter where you are in the tri-cities, Cingular's service is horrible. Bad reception, sound, and dropped calls are the norm. My contract is up in four weeks and I will NOT be renewing my service.

Poor TDMA / GSM reception with the "World Class" Siemens in a very small area, around my apartment. Old TDMA worked fine. ATT will reactivate my old TDMA Ericsson only if I go for a one year contract.

At home on Penny Royal Ave. in Richland WA I often have to go outside to make a call or check my voicemail. Often that doesn't work either.

Sprint PCS network reception within city limits is rock solid, but fails toward the Hanford site. My Sanyo 4900 is a great phone with excellent reception, sound quality and battery life. However, when travelling in the rural northwest, Sprint PCS reception is spotty and I find that my phone is on analog roam in many rural areas. AT&T was better in this respect when I had it years ago.

Once inside a building, the coverage drops almost to nothing. Only has decent service when outside which can be bad when it's 20 degrees or 105 degrees.

Works great in general Tri-City area, and especially well in inter-city, such as Spokane and Seattle. I've never dropped a call while with T-Mobile, even in my basement. Biggest problem: Little to no service at all around or near Hanford area, or science park. Have been told that T-Mobile plans to increase coverage in that area, but we'll see. Overal, I love T-Mobile, but don't expect coverage in very rual areas.
