Though Cricket says they have cell towers that provide service in Ridgefield, there is no reception beyond one mile of the I-5 / Exit 14 junction. Most disappointing. However, my LG5200 with Verizon gets great reception.

Cricket claimed to have reception in Ridgefield, but it drops to no bars just one mile west of the I-5 junction. Not good. I get excellent reception from Verizon on my LG 5200.

Had Verizon for 2 years had numerous Dropped calls. Reception is poor in most places here in town My son changed to Cingular and has had good reception with no dropped calls so we switched to Cingular for the whole family we havent seen any dropped calls yet. they must have a tower in my area. Verizon signal came from across columbia river from Scappose OR. Had Sprint before the Verizon but the dropped calls were common there too

Recently switched from AT&T TDMA to Cingular GSM. The phone works great in our home here in Ridgefield. Also took a driving trip and it worked well all the way to Seaside, OR going by way of Hwy. 30 to Astoria then down Hwy. 101 to Cannon Beach. Then another trip to central Oregon and Klamath Falls, OR by way of Bend over Mt. Hood. Very good reception everywhere and no dropped calls. Also drove east on I-84 to Pendleton, OR. The phone performed well all the way. Only a very few short areas with low or no reception, usually a mile or less in length. Mostly 4 to 6 bars between towns and a full 7 bars in the cities. Very satisfied with the service. Tried GSM about 8 months ago and it did not work well anywhere. Much different now.

We get from one to three bars inside the house, with an average of two. Reception is pretty good. No dropped calls in two years of use. We changed to AT&T GSM about 6 months ago. That was a mistake. Maybe one bar, usually none. Keyboard would lock out for no reason. Took the phones back after about 2 weeks and had our old ones re-activated. Stay away from GSM in this area. We are looking into switching to Verizon sometime in the future if our AT&T phones start having problems.
