I have a dropped call at least once a day in the West Seattle / Downtown Seattle areas. In our household, we were with two other major national carriers before we consolidated with AT&T, and we never had the same issues with those other carriers as we do with AT&T. Highly disappointed -- even considering paying the termination fee to get out of our contracts.

Have been with T-Mobile 4 yrs. The first 2 yrs we had between 1-2 bars. These past 2 years we rarely if ever get any bars. It's common to see neighbors walking in the street talking on their cell phones because most of us don't get reception here in Lake Forest Dark! A friend was visiting who had AT&T and she got perfect reception at our house.

University District, Seattle, WA 98105 Wed Dec 14, 2011

I've never had a call drop with T-Mobile, but since I got my Samsung Vibrant I have been having problems where there are just swaths of time where I have no network service, it's happened about 5-6 times in as many months and it's very annoying because I can't send texts or make calls. I'm assuming this has something to do with all the 3G / 4G bs, which is annoying because you can't get a phone that just texts and calls anymore. Other than that I usually have decent service in the city and spotty service outside of it. The only place I don't seem to get service in the U District is in Trader Joe's.

Terrible. Never able to use the Internet and only rarely able to make a call. Do not be fooled by low prices. Avoid at all costs. Terrible. Did I mention terrible? Literally never able to connect to my "unlimited" web.

Dead area between 87th up to 97th between 15th ave down to Lake City. Can't ever get service down near UW stadium. Bars swing from full coverage to nothing constantly. Crazy thing that must embarrass the brass over at T-Mobile headquarters in Kirkland, is that it is all in sight of their North American headquarters.

Our experience with ATT on Phinney Ridge has been awful with a low level of connectivity as a baseline. Everyday with ATT we get messages like "Cannot access Cellular Data Network", "Call Failed", "Update Failed" or "Server is not responding". I have called my partner's phone in the same room and gone straight to VM. Calls to my phone but not ringing on my phone, and instead going straight to VM is a regular occurence. A month ago I had to try 13 consecutive times to call a local business from my living room in suburban Seattle. After finally getting through, ATT dropped the call within 2 minutes. I can be in the front yard, back yard, in the house, walking around the nieghborhood - doesn't matter. It's bad. When you call AT&T customer service they tell you there are towers all around us so we should have good service. They have to know this is a near-dead zone, right? Friends with iPhones on Verizon who visit our house always get great service.

Horrible reception in North Admiral with AT&T and the iPhone 3G and 3GS. I drop almost EVERY CALL! AT&T claims that I should have great reception in my area. It's been going on for 2 years now, with no improvement.

Garbled calls with one to no bars showing are the order of the day with frequent dropped calls. Very frustrating. My other option is to go over to the dark side (VZN)

I've never had a dropped call with T-Mobile in the Seattle area. I lived in the QA area and always had full bars, even in the basement of my building. Even out on the peninsula or in certain areas of eastern WA, I still have great reception. However, I do also usually buy phones that are known to have good reception. I lived on the east coast for a while and my Motorola phone dropped calls often but when I switched to a Samsung phone (while still living in the exact same area), never had a problem.

Bars are constantly changing between 3 and 5. Regardless on number of bars I get poor reception with garbled calls and many dropped calls. Often I move to upper level of house to get better reception.

I switched from ATT because the reception was bad but T-Mobile is worse. In fact it is so bad that I can't even use the phone at my house. Calls drop within about 5 seconds which is very annoying. I got a new phone thinking that was the problem but it hasn't helped much. And the T-Mobile map shows excellent coverage here... what can you say.

Constant reception chasing throughout house, 1 to 5 bars variable, bad reception, intermittent reception, dropped calls, failed calls. T-Mobile unable to remedy for over 1 year. The AT&T phone in the house much better. Moved 1 1 / 2 miles north and 1 street east from perfect reception and service.

all VZW phones in this area are garbage for signal; 1x data only, hard to have a voice call without dropouts and interference, it's historic. However, last week (04-07-11) my 3g reception issues seem to have ceased! I'm getting one solid bar, and no switching back to 1x data... SOLID 3G! Go VZW! It's so much nicer to rule the air.

Horrible. We got rid of land line yrs ago and recently switched to AT&T family plan. Calls drop all the time. At least once a day. One phone doesn't even catch the txt msgs I send. Voicemail doesn't even get received til hours later. I'll be switching back to T-Mobile as soon as possible.

I have one spot in my house where the bars drop, but I always have service all over Seattle. Never drop calls. I also travel to Los Angeles, Phoenix and NY. The only problems I've had were in NYC indoors.
