35th Ave. SW is a major street in West Seattle yet I drop calls every time here. Sometimes I drop them immediately after coming West off of the West Seattle bridge.

Depends on the day, both in my condo and out on the street. When I called Sprint, the customer service rep was surprised I was even able to speak with her on the Sprint phone. Neighbors here have had poor reception with AT&T and Cingular as well. Guess I'm going back to a land line...

Every single time I've been on the phone as I've crossed over Greenwood Ave on 65th Street headed into Ballard, I've lost reception completely. It seems to be a "dead zone" between Greenwood and 8th.

Poor reception is best-case. No reception is usual. Don't bother trying to use a cell phone on the east side of Cap Hill. Sometimes you can get reception on 15th. Huge honking microwave towers at 18th and Madison may be a cause.

I've had my AT&T phone for over a year and get great reception almost everywhere I go. In MLT, it switches to the Cingular carrier, but I don't get charged roaming and reception is fine. I don't have a land line and I use my cell phone for all calls and it has been very reliable, whether Downtown, Capital hill, U-district, North Seattle, or Renton.

I get between 1-3 bars, though I'm usually at 1 or 2. I can get calls to the point where I know who's calling and tell them to call me back on the land line. Other than that, I wouldn't want to have to rely on my cell phone to make or receive calls at home.

Both at my home and at my office, in Montlake, reception is exceptionally poor. I am unable to use my phone at my home; at my office on 24th Ave. E. calls often are dropped.

I go inside and the phone dies, outside it works sometimes. I have had so many calls drop in this area it makes me crazy. Even with the walkie talkie feature, it fails. I have been searching for a new phone and new carrier if necessary just to know my phone will work in this area. But I am not at all confident in any of them after reading reviews here. I have two colleagues whose phones both seem to work fine in this area (same spots where mine goes out): T-mobile and AT&T, so I am looking at making the switch to one of those.

We don't get reception in the house or in the yard. We are switching to another carrier next month.

No reception at all. Seems kind of ridiculous living in the center of Seattle. Cingular gets reception here and I am switching to that network. No reception on T-Mobile here either.
