West Shoreline has had very poor coverage for years now. Verizon Wireless cannot commit to fixing this. They will even allow you to leave without early termination fees. No 3G or EV. Barely any regular service. On top of this, they typically cripple their phones with Verizon "features". Try installing a browser on your phone or using your own ring tones; impossible.
Generally good reception in most areas except Broadview. That's odd as it is one of the highest areas of the city. Here at home the reception is weather-dependent, usually fine, occasionally spotty with a dropped call once in a great while.
Lots of drop calls. No 3G (even though AT&T coverage shows 3G). Quality is terrible. Lots of missed calls and many attempts at re-dialing. No service. 2 bars usually, 3 bars if I'm outside, standing on a chair with plates balancing on sticks (kidding) but you get the picture.
Outside in the parking lot is better - around 3-4 bars but inside I go from 0-2 even when standing in the same location! Friends with ATT have no problem and usually have 4-5 bars. Very spotty coverage and the PTT network cuts in and out - can be in the middle of a conversation and all of a sudden get "user unavailable CO" when contacting them! I have coverage issues throught the Puget Sound area.
Really spotting along this street -- lots of dropped calls from the street in my car. Inside my home is sometimes a bit better if by a window, but not always -- frustrating!
