I've been with Sprint for seven years and never had any major problems... .until I moved. I have no reception in my basement apt. none in the backyard or side yard. I can make calls in my front yard... ..( in my car)... ..but, even then I risk many droped calls. switching very soon. tried a friends phone who has cingular / at&t and all bars were up everywhere. I am off to try t-mobile.
From my living room with a view of Qwest Field (irony?) I must not walk around for fear of dropping a call. Sometimes, in my apartment, I find that my phone is on "roam" which is reflected on my bill! Qwest's signal is very, very poor on this portion of Beacon Hill.
I occasionally drop a call when heading home over the hills in Mt. Baker, but in my own home, unlike Verizon I get coverage. I live near 50th Ave. S. and Lake WAsh. Blvd. S.
I have Verizon and live in alki. The Verizon guy must be on vacation or just doesn't like West Seattle, because I vitually have no service at all over here. Will be switching to Cingular or T-Mobile who seem to have the best coverage over here.
I have had good luck with verizon. I travel to eastern wa quite often, and I had know service with (T-Mobile) when you get off of the interstate on to the back roads. Verizon 2 bars for the most part.
I get great reception here with the Motorola phones, but the Nokia phone drops calls all the time. My "office" is in a closet that is mostly underground. I always get 4-5 bars on the Motorola phones and have never dropped a call. With the Nokia I get 0-1 bars and constant problems.
I just moved in to a beautiful apartment building, but I have absolutely no reception for a two-block radius. Most of the rest of Cap Hill and the CD is spotty, as well; unfortunately, my new home seems to be the worst.
