On Camano Island, large area around Camano Plaza mart south to Triangle Cove has no reception. A couple small spots with <1 bar but making / receiving calls is virtually impossible. This is a populated area.

Two years' contract is up. First year of contract, reception was averaging about 3, with dropped service on Elger Bay Rd and south on the island. Good to perfect on northeast end of Camano and into Stanwood, I-5 and south towards Everett. I think T-Mo added a tower during this time, as reception has improved consistently in the past year. Hubby works in Granite Falls area, and we do have drops on areas of Hwy. 9 between Granite and Smokey Point, so I know where he is. His phone is Nokia... He has more drops than I do, so I also think the phone is part of it. I don't seem to have drops at all through that area. However, we are probably changing service; he'll stay with T-Mo, I am looking for a plan with 3g service, if I can get it way out here in the boonies! We're moving in 12 months, so I may have to "hang on" until then. Texting on my phone is a PITA.

I get 0 to 1 bar at home, located by the Elger bay school in South Central Camano Island. Coverage is fine from I-5 through Stanwood, but 99% of calls drop right at Terry's Corner. I can call back and get a signal going up the hill towards cross-island road, and past the Camano Plaza IGA, but it drops off shortly after you pass the dump.

One bar in the house, 3 bars outside. An external antenna gives me good reception but only 115kbps on the network, in Smokey Point I get 800+kbps with no antenna. Looks like its time for a Yagi antenna and a pole!

at St. Aidan Episcopal Church, Sprint phones will not work indoors, even though they report three bars; yet Verizon phones work fine. And look! Airtouch has TWO cell towers right across the highway from us -- but no Sprint coverage

Good Reception From Everett up I-5, through Stanwood, and onto Camano Island. Very rare to loose a call during this drive. Heading South on Camano, calls usually drop out around county offices / garbage dump area. Have weak but usable coverage on West Side (near Camano Chapel) and south near Elger Bay Store. On South Camano, I sometimes have to go outside house to get the best signal - inside calls will occasionally drop out. With one more tower futher down the island, T-Mobile would be outstanding.

Camano Island Has a Zip code of 98282. No usable signal for moving / Some northern sites have a signal but are not dependable. AT&T was better 'til the merger. The best coverage was the old Analog cell phones (cirta 1995). I believe the phone companys shouldd support their customers not the other way around. Also, I feel that until customer satification reaches 80, or even 70% satified, that cell phone companys shoud refund for droped and / or lost calls. Some of us are self emploved and use cell phones because we were told we would have a moble service.

Careful driving south on I-5 around here (Just north of Stanwood exit where the trees are). Ok, maybe it's just this area in general. I lose calls on a consistant basis (as does by girlfrield with T-Mobile, which makes it quite easy to know where abouts she is on the freeway).
