Good reception at all times (5 bars). When exiting the subdivision and traveling down 130th avenue south 96th, reception briefly drops to three bars before returning to 5. Call quality is good at all times. Just as good as Verizon. 3G is pretty good too.

I have been with AT&T (Cingular) for about 5 years now. I have never experienced any dropped calls except for in an elevator but they all do that. I had T-Mobile and Verizon in the past both had dropped calls continuously. I have found that it really depends on where you live as to what company would be best for you. I just read that AT&T has recently purchased T-Mobile so we will see what happens with that. I have also heard that Sprint is a great deal too and with them being the last of the unlimited data plans this is something to consider. Good luck in your search for a cellular plan.

Coverage shows 4G but its very poor, I get 4G a couple blocks away from home. PRL updates helped. the phone is better than the signal. Sprint has spreed itself too thin: Boost-Virgin-eats up bandwidth $190 per month should buy more than it does.

No cell reception inside house. T-Mobile gave me a WiFi router and this phone, which automatically switches to WiFi operation inside the house, so no problem.

I have had Sprint since 2001. My service has fluctuated based on the phone I've had over the years. I have had service in Eastern Washington, Seattle, the coast, and now Vancouver. Right now I have the cheapeast, most low-tech phone ever. Palm fell in toilet..haha. I've had better coverage with the less high tech phones. Not sure why, but this crappy phone takes a beating and picks up signals all over wonderfully.

0-1 bars in house and outside in yard... sometimes 1-3 bars around neighborhood where ATT website shows good coverage reception. I feel that I was mislead about reception that I would have in my house.

Little to no reception from home. Spotty in other areas. When I have no service it's always the Verizon subscribers that DO, (except in Vancouver). Will a carrier please step forward and give southeast Vancouver some decent coverage.

Have been with AT&T for years and have never had a problem. Just purchased an iPhone 3GS and all of a sudden I get no service inside my home after using the phone without fail for 5 days. I have to drive about 3-4 blocks NE on 160th Ave to make a phone call. Went back to AT&T and they said it was a bad SIM card, replaced and said I should have no problems. Well, that didn't work either. They say my only option is to turn the phone back in for a small fee and they will let me out of my contract, purchase an AT&T MicroCell for $150.00 that will give me 5 bars in the house or take my phone to Apple and see if it is bad! Well, my husband's phone (my old phone) is now only working sporadically. So apparently, something has been done to the tower in my area that has screwed up our service. I had Verizon many years ago and that didn't work at home either. Now what carrier do I choose?

Took a lot if crap because I was the only one they had to keep asking to repeat myself on a recent conference call. I called Verizon technical support and they told me they have a tower 1.05 miles north of my location. Optimum signal strength is -60 to -80 dBm for cell voice calls. I constantly have between -94 to -110. (Obviously, higher negative numbers reflect worse signal strength). The technician said my problem is that I am inside a building. Great! All I have to do to be able to carry on a conversation on Verizon is go stand in the rain. A little over a mile away from the tower and their signal is 30-40 percent worse than AT&T. The tech said something very telling -- wouldn't you rather have lower signal than no coverage at all. That pretty much sums up Verizon - great coverage map with low signal strength. I'd rather be understood on the phone than have a big map.

On average I get 2-3 bars of 3G usually. It does fluctuate quite a bit however, sometimes getting less and other times getting full. Most other places I get full bars.

Just switched from Verizon to Sprint due to my daughter getting her first cell phone and thought saving money on our plan (about 30 dollars cheaper than Verizon) would be worth it. But needless to say it was a big mistake to switch. Sprints coverage is awful. Reception in my home and within a 6 block radius is spotty at best with mine and my wife's Blackberrys and my daughters phone. The reception was perfect when we had Verizon.

Addition to previous post: Daughters Motorola Razr also has maximum 1 bar. Incidently, my wife's Motorala (non Razr, model# unknown), never drops calls at home... .only on the road. That phone is on a monthly plan, while the Razr and Samsung are T-Moble To Go refill card service. Could it be that monthly plan phones receive signal priority over refill card phones?

Most calls are dropped. 1 bar on first floor, 2 bars on second floor, 1 bar outside. Does anyone know if Apple's iPhone on ATT is any better in this area? The ATT store promises that it is better since their GSM has a better range than T-Mobile's TDMA

Have been with company for over 2 yrs. Calls will drop when near freeway. Worse when at home. Service will work for a few minutes than I am unable to recieve or make calls for about an hour. This repeats throughout the day. 5 minutes it'll work long enough to recieve the texts I missed but as soon as I call voicemail or contacts, my service fails! The rep onine tells me to use a landline to call my voicemaill or contacts. Unfortunately I have to go to a neighbor to use a landline! Is this why I pay the cell phone company... so I can use someone's phone to see if I recieve a call on my cell phone??! I'm Very irritated with Cingular right now!

Park Tower Business complex on Mill Plain, zero T Mobile reception in any of the buildings. I have to walk 30 feet outside building to check messages. They offered to route signal through my work PC but then said it would cost a couple hundred bucks for the hardware and a monthly fee to use it. Give me a break. We paid $800 to add a signal booster in the office, still no bars. Sprint, Vorizen and Cingular work perfectly in the same office.
