great reception on east side of appleton indoors and out, tower behind janet berry school is alltel, which is great. Alltel is the best carrier by far but nobody nows about it... far better than verizon, but customer service is a little lacking, but other wize Verizon gets most of its extended coverage areas from alltel, so who is better??? ALLTEL! same phones ax8600 and krzr k1 and the orginal razr v3m and v3a (gps) Many pda choices and good evdo network. has notbook cards like verizon, and has pretty darn good broadband network, with evdo. Best cdma network there is! THey also have great commercials wiht chad and also my circle.. way better than my faves from t mobile. and for the kids out there they have great prepay phones too. You can switch your plan at anytime and if you drop a call you get a 1 minute call credit on your bill, and you can pay your bill add a line and change you my circle number on my account online. The axcess shop and jump music are comparable data access services to v cast, with much lower prices. Alltel IS THE BEST!

Always have great reception. The best service by far out of all the local carriers. Have tried them all. With AT&T and Cingular, they drop calls where I have 5 bars with my Alltel phone. Wouldn't switch to any other company. They have the best service "up north" as well. At my cottage in Lake Tomahawk, I get 4-5 bars... INSIDE!

US Cellular has more towers in the southern half of the state of Wisconsin than any other company! Get a Motorola or a Nokia and you will not be dissappointed

I've had service with US Cellular for over 6 years and have never had a problem. Sure, a few dropped calls but they were usually in notoriuosly bad reception areas i.e. elevators and inside large steel buildings. You have to remember, this isn't a phone but a two-way radio. Any problems with billing have been handled quickly and professionally by there well trained service reps.

Sprint PCS is by far the best cellular service in Appleton. We have been through many different services and Sprint had the best reception inside and outside. Most carriers with GSM (Cingular, Einstein PCS) have horrible service indoors. Verizon is known for charging you more than your sapposed to be. My friend got charged 1,000 dollors for a 35 dollor plan. US Cellular is alright but Sprint offers better coverage, roaming options, and Media services. Sanyo is the best Sprint phone, gets the best reception

By far the best signal of any carrier I have used. The GSM does NOT work everywhere but I was told where I would get reception when I purchased. Very Clear reception and 25%+ greater battery life than CDMA (us cellular, Verizon, Sprint, )

Generally ATT reception in Appleton is good to excellent. The only two areas I've run into problems is at work (Thrivent) and the mall. There are a few locations in the mall where service is poor to non-existant.

Cingular gets a bad rap for whatever reason but they have pretty good reception in appleton, a few places where service is flaky but overall good coverage. a lot better than it was a year or so ago, maybe they bought more towers or something, but it's gotten better.
