Never had any huge issues with US Cell. They obviously don't always get the "coolest" phones, but it works where I need it to work. I do real estate and I can't afford to have a phone that doesn't work out in the boonies. It works at my cabin in Redgranite, up north in Ladysmith when I go fishing, and in Door Co. Also worked when I went out west to Washington state. Great company, just wish I could get the iPhone... .errr...

No reception when in Cross Plains at all. They've know about it for years.

I wish you could somehow get reception to this area. I have work on these phones, and if they can't call, I cant get messages.

I live right across a valley from a US Cellular tower and always have full reception. I attend UW-Eau Claire and when I go back and forth there is never a problem with reception. In Eau Claire, I usually have full reception unless I am in a building, maybe I will lose a bar. Never had any problems with US Cellular. I had Cingular for just over one week last summer and, I got maybe one bar at home (on a good day) even though there is a tower that sits right across the valley. In my town, I got no reception at all. Maybe Cingular has good coverage in big cities but for the overall best service and reception I recommend US Cellular.
