Western / Northwest / Northern Wisconsin, UP of Mi, Glenwood City, WI 54013 |

T-mobile in Western / Northwestern / Northern Wisconsin is poor at best. I traveled from Hudson, WI to Ironwood, MI frequently, and was lucky to get any reception after 5 miles north of I94. Their coverage maps at the time were deceiving. They said that part of the state had coverage, but the only thing I ever saw was one bar of reception around Trego. I dropped T-Mobile and went with Alltel 2 years ago. It was a great decision. I now live 8 miles north of Glenwood City, out in the middle of absolute nowhere, and I get two bars of reception IN MY BASEMENT! I get great reception from my house all the way up to Ironwood and down to Wausau. There is one stretch, however, from Hayward to Mellen on Hwy. 77 that's a little iffy. It's pretty remote -- you know, a 50-mile stretch with nothing but maybe a dozen houses, a couple bars and an outhouse. To sum it up: T-Mobile sucks. Alltel is great!

You get little to NO reception with this phone in this area. I like alltel, I mean, who is ever 100% happy with their phone company-- but this phone is HORRIBLE-- I had a "loaner" phone that worked much better here, however, pretty much in the entire city and menomonie, your service is in and out : /

I've been dealing with this issue for 3 years. Most recent call to T-Mobile said it was my old Nokia phone so I ordered the new Razr. Coverage did not change. From Cty Rd G / D south to Woodville I get occasionally 1 bar. Husband said no coverage in downtown Glenwood, but could make a call at the High School. T-Mobile insists I should get good reception with thenew phones. NOT. I'm switching to Verizon, even if I pay more.
